    Solar Security lights

I have of these, or one very similar, mounted on my carport to light under to the roof. I'm not sure if OP wants the light on throughout the night but I have mine set to motion-activation and it's been humming along perfectly for about 3 or 4 years. The light emitted is better than I expected...

Government must reduce speed limit in urban areas to 30km/h - Urban expert

Absolutely. I am not sure if it is a don't care or me first attitude or a lack of basic knowledge but it really is quite nuts out there.

Government must reduce speed limit in urban areas to 30km/h - Urban expert

I think you mean "passing lane". There is no such thing as a "fast lane" and while you are correct that they should not be sitting in that lane at 100km/h, neither should anyone else at 120km/h (or faster).

INSIGHT: Rise in road accidents, risks for food couriers surge

These guys on bikes make such poor decisions and take unbelievable risks on the regular. Almost every time I see something crazy it’s a Mr Delivery driver. They need to take more care out there

New Peugeot 3008 launched – Specifications and Pricing

Peugeot designers are doing well lately in my opinion. A bit strange not to have a single shot of the interior in the article though...

South African airline war - R499 flights and dogs allowed

From what I understand there will be a limited number of pets allowed per flight and they would be booked in a certain area of the cabin. I would imagine that this area would be made clear when you book you seat/check in online so you can avoid it if you choose and/or are early enough. There is...

Mentally ill woman set alight in Soweto after ‘witch’ accusation

This is not normal by any stretch of the imagination or reasoning. South Africa has a real problem of intense brutality. Our society is severely damaged. We should be very concerned about this. I see very few examples of this in other countries, even those who have also suffered greatly, yet...

    The Official Stargate Thread

TBH I had no real issues with Atlantis - yes it did get somewhat disjointed once they started making cast changes but I think that had more to do with studio objectives than creative issues. I still enjoy it very much as it has the core optimism and heart that SG-1 had. Universe was certainly a...

Massmart targets disposal of further assets

"Sales for the group were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and more specifically by restrictions on the sale of certain product categories, it said". True, but I think they need to deploy some secret shoppers to their stores to look for more reasons which explain the poor performance. I have...

Vumatel comes under fire for high fibre prices

Absolutely, "normies" will likely be the bulk of their customers. Vuma clearly has some constraints they are contending with, but the fact remains that if a company cannot bring their product to market at a cost which makes sense within that market then difficulties will ensue. I don't give a...

Vumatel comes under fire for high fibre prices

Paying customers will compare them though, and on one primary criterion. To the man on the street price is king, particularly in 2021 when times are tough for so many. Those with the option of switching to Openserve may exercise that option - those of us stuck with Vumatel may accept the higher...

Vumatel comes under fire for high fibre prices

So because once upon a time a company was useful and competitive we should swallow everything in the future because they were among the first first and now have us by the b*lls? This sounds like the kind of thinking around SAA. Paying customers are entitled to view the value proposition as they...

Vumatel discontinuing 10/2Mbps and 20/2Mbps service from the 1st of April 2021

It would be interesting to know how folks are planning to react to this. There aren't many choices, especially for those who only have Vuma in their area but I wonder how many people, particularly those on the 20/2 option, are accepting the change vs downgrading and seeing if the 10/10 will do...
