Afrihost will buy majority stake in Cool Ideas

@PBCool @TheRoDent will you still be running your own independant network where you have full control, or will you have to run to Afrihost or someone else to make changes? The full control you currently have is a big plus - your previous responses to similar questions feels like dodging this...

Didn't you guys say you would revert the routes until AWS has their **** sorted?

Was just about to ask the same thing - after the 1 or 2 days of it being better, it went back to being bad :/

@PBCool any chance of getting them to change this like you're trying to do for AWS?

For the first time in years, I'm seeing 180 - 210ms in World of Warcraft - normally it's around 140-150ms. IP for the server I'm connected to is 34.91.160.197 - traceroute below: Tracing route to 197.160.91.34.bc.googleusercontent.com [34.91.160.197] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms...

Connectivity just dropped and when it came back up, latency is higher - ping to queen.cisp.co.za was normally ~150ms, about 200ms now: Tracing route to queen.cisp.co.za [62.233.65.195] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.254 2 * * *...

Honestly, if the peering is kept in place as-is, I'd be asking the same :(

Gaming seems fine with the VPN, so that's great for the interim. Ideally I wouldn't want to jump on a VPN for selective gaming or have the extra 40-50ms on all of my work instances in Frankfurt - I already have a work VPN I need to connect to in Frankfurt, so can't really get around that easily...

Will you post here when tweaked? Showing the same abnormal pings this side with the VPN. Had 2 more people complain about the higher latency again today in Apex on CI :/

Virtual Hub Name? The VPN really isn't a great solution in my mind - in the same vein that console players can't use the VPN, a few people on CISP complained last night about the direct peering again and they don't know how to set up and use VPNs. My work is also done on the Frankfurt AWS...

Same here, seeing the same in Apex and Overwatch - pretty dismal to be playing on Bahrain again.

Is there any Metrofibre helpdesk agents on the forum?

This - it's a FTTH service I assume, the wait time is frustrating, but realistically it's not subject to a business SLA.

    Switching ISP (Openserve Fibre)

He's saying you sent him a PM less than an hour ago - MyBB isn't a monitored support channel, they check it when they have time - you can't expect an immediate response.
