Would you take the AstraZeneca vaccine if it is offered to you?

I'm ok with the well tested vaccines, and like you mentioned I have the scar to proof that. The question was if I would the new Covid one, and my answer to that is no. It is brand new, like with major OS updates, I don't want to break my production machine, I'll wait that others test and get...

Software to control PC's in a IT training room

Option 1 Many years back I used a combination of products (Mostly from Microsoft) to setup a computer lab at primary school. I used Domain Controller with Group Policies to lock them down so much that Windows didn’t have a Start Button, only the needed programs on the desktop. You can also make...

Suggested Product - to remind you that your garage door is left open

Good Morning, I‘m using a SMS controller to send me a SMS when the door is in an open state for 3 minutes (should give me enough time to get in and out), and it also has the option that I send SMS or command to close the door. It does send SMS for Close state as well. I also monitor Main Power...

Replacing keyboard with the 'recall' of Macbook Pro

My MBP 15" had the keyboard replacement for free, iStore Canal Walk did send it in to the repair centre in the CBD, it took me 4 days, and they also replaced top cover. I used the time to see if I can do the iPad living.

    Car hire - what gives?

Maybe it is an Avis thing, friend called me this morning, said he had to sign his life away for 2 days, he said if he chips the windscreen, he will write the car off, because it’s not worth it to just replace windscreen. (he made a joke) Funny that you also posted this now, so something must be up.

Firewall to monitor internet traffic and usage over a network

Good luck with that for “free”. Most of the free or open source solutions would give you a overview, but you wouldn’t be able to drill down into detail like I think you want. Most of the bigger network equipment vendors have some product that does DPI, but you will have to pay for the detailed...

    SAGE Online issues

SAGE are their own problem, they grew too quick and can't support the product, I schedule time to billing runs 5-7am, from 7 onwards you see strange and wonderful errors. To log a ticket doesn't help, they respond a week later and say all is normal. When they add mail servers, they don't...

Best "backup" fiber ISP that isn't Cool Ideas (which is great just btw)

Down the road? I would think that the Fibre Provider would be the same, so another SP would be pointless. The problem is normally at the physical layer, with CISP they had a router issue 2 years ago, and it were sorted in a very short time. Maybe try Afrihost, I like their management portal.
