    Cannot dial 135

Hello, I have been trying to dial 135 (and the old 808). Call just automatically ends. Does not even attempt dialing. I have tried the call barring #330*0000# and diverts ##002# to no avail. What can I do to resolve this?

No Fibre, No ADSL... What are my options?

About 30 mins. Pep seems to instant RICA with just your ID. I would test it first with a small 10GB bundle to check the speeds you get in your area.

LTE connection but i have LTE-A coverage

Higher frequencies will allow for higher speeds, but the range is shorter - so that could cancel out or even turn out to be a disadvantage. Lower frequencies penetrate obstructions easier. One of the reasons using 5Ghz on home routers on Wifi 5 is not advisable if you have a large home and / or...

Is RAIN's fixed LTE option going again or do they only promote the 19h + 4 hours capped option now?

No Fibre, No ADSL... What are my options?

The only "advantage" you have on contract with Telkom is that you get a free router (Ok, that's pretty nice) and if your service does not work you can complain - that doesn't generally work either way with Telkom so I just went the prepaid route.

No Fibre, No ADSL... What are my options?

I went to Pep stores, and bought a Telkom sim. Inserted into phone, dialed *180#, changed tariff plan to SmartBroadband. Registered the number on Telkom's website and voila!

France will block Huawei from using 5G location data

A couple of years ago a big Chinese brand called Hikvision was reportedly "hacked" and "people" used their network video recorders and IP cameras to mine cryptocurrencies. Now, we're talking about a company with ~21% of the market share in CCTV equipment globally. That's hundreds and thousands...

    Month-to-month LTE pricing

Is the difference not that you get a fixed wall or pole mounted antenna to boost signal a little? Wouldn't matter otherwise if you decided not to use the fixed antenna. If they do not provide you with that then there is absolutely zero difference except that you fall in a "qualifying area" -...

    Month-to-month LTE pricing

All the other options are nice. In my opinion though if the ISP is going to use a network that already exists, like Telkom in this case, then they better allow you to also buy bundles as you need them rather than charge OOB rates. R0.10 a MB works out to R100 a GB. In the case of Telkom, when...

    Buying a house....

It is a huge schlep. I would just like to point out that these bonds are probably the banks' bread and butter so they have to be sure when they give away their 1, 2 or 3 bar that they will be getting it back and then some. From a business point of view I get where they are coming from. They...
