All seems okay on my side. Axxess.

    Rain 5G Gqeberha (PE)

Maybe things will improve from a coverage perspective after the purchase of additional spectrum. I'm going to keep an eye on things.

    Rain 5G Gqeberha (PE)

I had to cancel mine in the end, unfortunately. Though I got some good download speeds (200-300mb), I'm right on the edge of coverage so my upload speeds never went above 12mb and we're frequently around 3-4mb. It just wasn't enough for a consistent video call experience, which was a must...

Let me try that. Thanks for the help! Edit: Nope, request timed out. Neighbours don't have fibre because they got so frustrated with all the issues!

My ONT is fine, all four green lights, checking with the neighbours is a good idea.

I'm still down! All I get from support is a canned response about Frogfoot problems in the Eastern Cape. How do I check if it's with me and not a widespread problem? Presuming it shouldn't be a widespread problem otherwise others would be down too.

Down in Fernglen. Anyone else, or is the issue mine?

Well, it's after 7 and I'm still getting full speeds. With Axxess as my ISP. Looks very promising!

Seems to be fine during the day actually. It's the 7-10 slot at night where everything collapses.

Sad to say, my Rain 5G has been pretty shocking over the last week or so. Teams and Zoom have been virtually unusable and streaming often buffers, high latency being the order of the day. I've been considering switching back to fibre, but now I just think we're doomed either way.

I have the A52s and my son has the 10 Pro. What you say is about right. The Samsung has a few advantages, but the 10 Pro is still a good phone and is cheaper.

    Rain 5G Gqeberha (PE)

No idea, I'm afraid. I'm managing with upload speeds of around 10mb, so haven't done anything further.

Don't really want to incur an extra hardware cost, though. Are external units available from Rain?

    Rain 5G Gqeberha (PE)

Yep, I have the Oppo CPE. My RSRP sits around -100dBm, but does drop as low as -93. Yours is a lot better, which you can see in your upload speeds! I'm going to play around with the positioning of the Oppo tomorrow, as I'm not actually connecting to the closest tower at the moment.

    Rain 5G Gqeberha (PE)

Who else on the forum has signed up for Rain 5G in Gqeberha (PE) and what's your experience been like? I'm right on the edge of coverage according to the map but still get 3 out of 4 bars of signal. This translates to around 250-300mb down but only 7-12mb up (sometimes as low as 3). Ping usually...

Well, Rain has delivered my 5G sim and router. Currently getting these speeds, though I only signed up for the basic package. Upload speeds could be an issue. What I'm really interested in is the stability, of course. Will leave my work PC connected to it for a week and see how it goes.

I did the same, as I'm guessing some others would have done. We'll all have to compare notes.

Is that the 5G or LTE deal that you got from them?
