A good thing I skimmed through that article - I had assumed that Paris Mashile is a woman - would've been very embarassing if I'd called him Ms or Mrs Mashile...
Heh - there is no truth in the rumour that ic is addicted to 'The Simple Life' or the E! channel... :D :D

But, his CV describes him as a “motivator and a man who discourages people to function in silos but rather to think literally and always be entrepreneurial and innovative in our approach.” And Mashile talks of the councillors as a team, each of the players with different skills.
I don't know about this think literally thing - IMO that prevents people from thinking outside the box & innovating...coincidentally the difference between those with a sense of humour & those that do not - those without are totally literal in their thinking...

LOL, I seriously cannot stand 'The Simple Life' - apart from watching Paris for her looks, I found it totally devoid of intellectual content...:D

I also don't have DSTV, so not sure what to make of the E! channel...

Ag it's not important - just another el-cheapo channel provided by the moguls of Multichoice for our beeeeg bux as ostensible proof of extensive channel choice - in the meantime, it's just brain-dead promotion of supposed Hollywood stardom where your favourite voyeur target frequently appears - stands for Entertainment Now! apparently, or something like that...

Does anyone else think the article had a misprint? - I'm thinking "think literally" should have been "think laterally"...

His original profile published on the ICASA website had this mistake in it - the journo merely copy-pasted it, and it slipped through the editing process. I see his profile has now been updated on the ICASA site and the error has disappeared. Traces of the original blooper are in Google caches still, though the original document cannot be retrieved any longer...
