It should in this situation, yes ...... I was a dumfark at maths, doesn't mean I must complain because I'm a dumfark. Nope sorry, a class or entire grade complaining, then there's validity but one, that's just another dumbo

You must be one of them low-IQ folk. This is MyBB, where all we care about is how good you are at STEM, and henceforth all your opinions on this forum are null and void.

Interesting
What some BRAVE person should do now is run a comparative test -- IQ vs Math marks
Across the whole of South African school pupils who wrote Matric Maths exam paper

Read what I said. "non-intuitive", "before you run out of time".

If something is "non-intutitive" it means that you almost certainly will not spot the answer immediately. Even smart people will spend some time thinking about a trick question. In an exam you might spot the trick after 10 seconds, whereas on another day it may take you 5 minutes.

The time component is critical. It isn't luck or random chance that some people are better at spotting these things .

Won't necessarily correlate, I personally score high IQ but only managed a c HG maths back in the day and later varsity pure maths killed me ( God I hate integration by partial fractions , still have nightmares , give me some nice imaginary numbers or partial differentiation any day ).

Trick questions are stupid. Sure, your work enviro is going to throw a trick question at you to solve

FFS whether or not you spot it within the time frame has an element of luck. What's so hard to understand about this? I'm talking about the same person, not different people.

Because it is non-intuitive you'll have to try out different angles of attack since it's not obvious what will work. You may strike it lucky and get it right first-time with method A. Whereas on another day you may have tried out equally plausible, but ultimately wrong methods B and C first, thus wasting time you otherwise wouldn't.

If you still don't get it there's no hope for you and I won't be wasting any more time going around in circles.

They are not.
Finding a logical problem in a piece of software that someone else has written is exactly that. And people who do it in 10 minutes are going to be much for valuable for society than someone who needs 100 minutes.

You see it is just an "element of luck" that Terrance Tao developed three independent proofs for a newly discovered identity in linear algebra in 2 hours.. Nothing to do with skill, ability or intuition.

Although the physicists could hardly believe they’d discovered a new fact about such bedrock math, they couldn’t find the relationship in any books or papers. So they took a chance and contacted Tao, despite a note on his website warning against such entreaties.

“To our surprise, he replied in under two hours saying he’d never seen this before,” Parke said. Tao’s reply also included three independent proofs of the identity.

Genuine question to intelligent people here. What do you personally get by interacting with common people on myBB? How do you find free time from your otherwise successful life?

Intelligent people don't waste their time on platforms propped up by cartels.

Well, that explains you & me wasting time here but what about others?
The only partly intelligent people I know of, that have accounts here, aren't as busy as you and I are, on this platform. That's all I know.

It was never a fail even during the good old days.

My memory is foggy but we had SG & HG exam papers back in the day, same class though. I don't think the pass mark was as low as today, especially not for HG.
