Probably in not so many words,

So I'll capitulate and say that cannot be taken as a full endorsement or that you believe him, my apologies for that.

Do you believe what he said though?

I don't believe him for a second.
I believe that it could happen as much as I believe it won't happen, I don't feel the need to put my head on the block about it.

It is politics and anything can happen regardless of what Cosatu and SACP feels about it. Not everything that was agreed on would be implemented to the letter, just look at the Nationalisation of the reserve bank and the hullabaloo instead of simply implementing the resolution of the ANC's conference.

Some things would be implemented as agreed, some resolutions would be modified and implemented in a watered down manner, there is nothing that is cast in stone here, all part of politics meeting reality.

Sounds about right. No clear policy. No leadership. No direction. A compromise based on weak consensus that results in failure. Rinse and repeat.

Reality has a way of bringing you down to earth, ask the DA how many times they've had to chop and change their policies and direction.

And yet bizarrely you have no difficulty holding the official opposition accountable for SA's national economic policy.

If he endorsed Mboweni's plan AT ALL he could already act on it.
He has not acted, hence ... <I'll let you fill in the blank>
