LOL, adding "according to their standards of governance" is like looking at life through rose-tinted glasses. These cretins have captured the market on warped views of reality.
I'm being nice to them... Their idea of govern is to take 95% of the money and only give 5% back... So in that light they're ready to govern

This. If they were serious about it they would not take a cluster-fsck like Joburg right off the bat. It would probably take well over 20 years to put right even with perfect governance it's such a vast and complex system. Probably impossible to put right if you don't outright govern the entire country as well.

A much smaller city that you can turn around relatively quickly and show that you can govern much better.

Took the DA only about 5 or 6 years to mostly sort out CPT.... JHB isn't much bigger...

CPT isn't mostly sorted out by any stretch of the imagination. Look at all the gang violence, poverty, rampant drug and alcohol abuse, murder rate even higher than JHB etc. the DA still hasn't managed to fix.

City governance is mostly sorted, given that CoCT is getting unqualified audits.... Yes there are problems, and they take MUCH longer to solve (if they ever can be)

It's just one or two areas like Mitchell's Plain and Khayelitsha that raises those stats. There is some spillover of crime but for the most part, many areas in CPT are very safe.

I guess we have different opinions by "sorted". A clean audit is just the first step in a long journey IMO.

And those are part of CPT. You don't get to ignore them.

Government can't ignore it but If you are not a resident of Mitchell's Plain or Khayelitsha you can take the stats with a pinch of salt.

Oh look Malema spelled 'ready to go shop Louis Vitton' incorrectly..

Hide your credit cards when this lot comes close.
