The more fuss they make about a movie, the more viewers it will attract.

I suspect that we are back there - or very close.

I did not live in SA in those years but I remember hearing that the old classic horse story "Black Beauty" was banned. Am still not sure if that was an urban myth or actual truth.

That one is an urban legend but they did ban Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

They banned The Wall, Santana, etc etc

And mates in the army were arrested on pass, in their homes, and sent to DB, for watching and sharing porn on the Admin buildings computers.
We were told to shoot and kill people based on the colour of their skin, which was perfectly ok, but looking at boobies on a pc, got you arrested... Weird times those were, and we are heading back there fast.
