“OpenWeb has a great network, but terrible service”

.... I am not sure if this is a genuine anti openweb expose the truth of this scum company and mybb growing a backbone post/article and or if this is a very devious marketing stunt ....

So many mixed emotions in my soul right now, on the one side I am really happy and excited and on the other side I am so scarred we are being tricked very cleverly as the response from OpenScum looked very prepared, very advertising like.

All in all I assume this was genuine in which case. I'm blown away, thank you mybb for exposing The Truth About OpenWeb

Took you guys long enough considering how long there's been customer dissatisfaction and clear cases of dodgy dealings (on OW's part) posted in this very forum.

There are many users on here that have complained about OW (1122 of us if I have to hazard a guess).

OpenWeb will have to do a hell of a LOT more training before they will even reach half the expected service level IMHO.

“OpenWeb made a decision not to join the ISPA when we first started in 2005 in an effort to keep service quality low and in turn pass these frustrations onto our clients,” said Wright.

FTFY

Regarding ISPA membership, Wright said OpenWeb is not a first-tier Internet service provider (it does not own a network), and its upstream provider is a member of ISPA.
“OpenWeb made a decision not to join the ISPA when we first started in 2005 in an effort to keep admin costs low and in turn pass these savings onto our clients,” said Wright.

Does anyone know the costs of becoming a member? I wonder if "keep admin costs low" is a valid reason....

Headline:
OpenWeb has a great network, but terrible service”
(yes, it is in quotation marks " " - bold is my emphasis)

BUT...

Regarding ISPA membership, Wright said OpenWeb is not a first-tier Internet service provider (it does not own a network), and its upstream provider is a member of ISPA.

Looks outside to see if Hell has frozen over...

So you come from hell?:wtf:

They must have you on openweb 56k dial up connection and subject you to streaming videos on a 65 inch TV over that, that would indeed be hell!

My single worst experience out of half a dozen ISP's I have experienced, is OW

Worst is when it gets so slow the internet doesn't actually work - something which happens in mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Never again

I disagree, they have great service, when someone eventually responds. This can take hours tho, it's very frustrating.
