This is why I say that one of !CASA's biggest mistakes was to hand NeeTel a licence after seeing NeeTel's business plan which specifically mentions concentrating on CDMA2000 and nothing about wired services like xDSL.

Neotel's internet offerings will include true broadband services, the access to which will be delivered over multiple media, including wireless (such as WiMAX), and copper wires, where available, using various Digital Subscriber Loop (DSL) technologies.

While I understand that Poison Ivy and her Hippocampus entourage at the Dementia of Communistications, are largely responsible for NeeTel's apparent failure so far, what with the disaster that is Infraco etc, I tend to think that NeeTel should have taken legal action against Poison Ivy and her Dementia of Communistications.

I completely agree, NeoTel should have taken legal action against the DoC. What we need is a telecoms company with a back bone, who is willing to actually stand up to the DoC. The first company to do that, will win the respect of many.

How on earth could that happen when

Neotel is totally dependent on Infraco, a 100% government owned and operated company for its backbone infrastructure
The government controls a significant portion of Neotel stock

No url? - I assume that was from NeeTel's website, correct? - if so, everytime NeeTel says something, it talks about imminent CDMA2000 and WiMax at some less imminent point in the future, and strangely nothing is said about xDSL, so it is reasonable to assume that NeeTel's xDSL plans have not been planned yet...

Ja, it's from their website.

I don't think that NeeTel's xDSL project is at an advanced stage. :D

Come on, has no one actually clicked on Neotels actual agenda yet?

They have nil interest in the individual. It's easier and more profitable to service only the major corporates (perhaps a thousand or so) vs 500 000 whiny customers (somewhere around 10% of market) netting far lower ROI.

I remember reading recently in a news article that NeeTel expects to be able to drastically undercut Telkodemonopolies' exorbitant pricing by a factor of x - I forget the exact figure, anyways it is all just hot air until NeeTel actually launches [something] and gives us concrete pricing.

Neotel : "Don't know when we'll offer services, dont know what the price will be"

Yeah, sounds like a company who has an aggressive game plan
