Eskom load-shedding for Monday

Eskom has announced Stage 2 load-shedding on Monday from 17:00 to 22:00.

This is because the power system is severely constrained, the power utility said.

"Earlier today, the power utility had 3,049 MW offline on planned maintenance and 14,985 MW of capacity unavailable due to breakdowns"

I'm pretty sure that all these Eskom notices over the last couple of years almost always includes a plus minus 15,000MW outage, due to variable reasons.
Beginning to think that the 15K is just a way to get us thinking that at some stage we'll gain that capacity back and load shedding will stop?

I believe we are being bullshirtted here, the bulk of that 15,000MW is never going to come online again.

I don't really understand the logic behind that. Do the reasons for load reduction (overloading of substations) suddenly disappear during loadshedding?
No that's why when it happens those areas log faults

Yup it actually went down from the earlier announcement. I mean this year we haven't even hit a 60% EAF.
