A gang in Telford, Shropshire, has sexually abused young girls since the 1980s
Telford's Tory MP, Lucy Allan, has called for an urgent Rotherham-style inquiry
Three people were murdered and it is thought up to 1,000 victims were targeted
It has now emerged two whistleblowers who tried to speak up were silenced

A pair of whistleblowers who raised fears over the Telford child sex abuse scandal which affected up to 1,000 girls were both punished and silenced, it emerged today.

The brutal sex gang targeted the innocent girls over a 40-year period in what may be Britain's 'worst ever' child abuse scandal.

Girls in the town of Telford in Shropshire were drugged, beaten and raped at the hands of the violent groom gang which was active since the 1980s.

Three people were murdered and two others died following incidents linked to the sickening scandal.

And it has now been revealed that two whitstleblowers who wanted to raise their concerns about the crimes were hushed and one woman even lost her job.

According to the Mirror, police chaplain Keith Osmund-Smith was suspended after he passed papers to the newspaper and a report commissioned by the council revealed social workers knew of the sex crimes before the turn of the millennium.

Meanwhile, a woman who was hired by sex abuse charity Axis Counselling, based in Shrewsbury, was forced to leave her role after she tried to speak up.

This is the true face of liberalism.

Political correctness is more important than human rights - including women's rights.

Painting every liberal with the same brush hardly makes you seem very bright,or maybe you are but just have an agenda.

The people responsible for this incident need to answer...why should others answer for them.

Not the first time and it won't be the last.

To modern liberals, nothing is more important than political correctness.

I have heard two narratives on this story:

1: These are immigrant gangs and everyone is too scared to say so.
2: Its locals who have control over the system (the people you mention above)

Now I might have confused this rape gang story with another but @Ancalagon's comments seem to assume the same narrative. Its immigrants and everyone is worried about being un-PC and calling it out.
But then the date range does not match up. There were immigrants to the UK in the 80s but not on the same level and no one was worrying about being PC back then.

Its confusing how these pollitical narratives get in the way of understanding what has actually happened.
