I just want to share my frustration, TelkomZA has already been made aware of the issue, and there is only so much they can do, due to the nature of my situation.
I requested that Telkom please install an additional line at the premises where I reside, as there is already an existing line, however I have no control over that line, as I am not the account holder, and it was decided that it would be best for me to install a line of my own.
I got a SMS for Telkom saying that an installer would be dispatched to the premises on the 8th of September, the day before the install was due to happen, I went out, and purchased an ADSL modem, and I made sure that everything was ready, and in place for the installer.
The day of the install, the installer comes as expected, climbs up on the phone pole, does a few tests, to see if there is a line available, there wasn't one, and after a trip to the cabinet, he also informed me that there was an issue with the underground cabling, and the matter would have to be referred to their cable department, and the matter should be resolved within the next week or so.
Well, despite TelkomZA doing all their can to ensure, that this matter gets resolved, the cable department continue to drag their feet, and one month later from my promised connection date, I am still sitting without an internet connection, and I need to come to work to use the internet, and get important tasks done online.
I am beyond frustrated with Telkom's cable department.
