I don't like normal bread anymore,
I also want to cut on my food intake.

I take provita's to work, but someone said they are equal to bread calorie wise.

Is this correct?

You can Google this stuff.

A slice of bread can be of varying thickness and of varying type. For example a thin slice of white can have 70 calories while a thicker one can have 90 or more. So frankly it depends on the bread and the thickness of the slice.

A Provita has about 22 calories apparently. So no a Provita could not contain as many calories of energy as a slice of bread.

Calories are IMO a stupid unit for energy in food though. You should probably stick to kJ.

Seems like a small lunch you packing though, buy seed bread from woolies and slap on something lekka. wrap in cling foil and boom decent lunch.

1 Provita = 22 cal.
1 Slice Brown Bread = 128 cal (depends on the bread though).

As long as you're eating the provita dry you're golden IMO. I am not a dietitian, though I could be for a day if you asked nicely and gave me google.

Depends on what you put on. Dry provita will win out but slap a big slab of butter on there and you might as well eat a slice of bread for the ratio of butter/food.

Cut out wheat totally, you'll feel so much better. Substitute with good protein - droë wors, biltong - for snacking on.

Why? That's like saying miles are a stupid unit for distance, you should stick to km.
They're both equally valid.
