I have an XServe with 10.4 installed. The workstations are running a combination of 10.4 and 10.5. We just recently got a new iMac with 10.6. For some reason the iMac can access the server and create folders, but when I try copy a file from the desktop to the server, it does not copy. It just stays on the progress bar and never gets anywhere. Has anyone else had this problem. Is there a problem with an 10.4 Server with a 10.6 workstation? Do I need to upgrade my Server software? I have the 10.5 server upgrade software, but have just not gotten around to upgrading. If I upgrade to 10.5, should this resolve the issue, or do I need a server with 10.6?

I've not had any issues using a tiger server and Snow leopard client. That being said, we've upgraded to SL server... makes a world of difference..

Yes but im using server as a workstation as well. But I now ended up reinstalling SL. Had too many hassles hosting sites locally and getting PHP and MYSQL to work. Back on SL using MAMP - thanks for the replies guys
