10 ministers in 10 years

Was waiting for this article the whole morning.
I can basically recite what the article will state, word for word, before it's annual/semi-annual posting.....

Agreed 100 %

Yunus Carrim - the only competent one from the lot.

Agreed ! 100% I met him.

Was determined to sort out the mess.
Gave a public hearing with him present he asked smart questions.

Just proves how useless, corrupt and criminal these anc cadres are that's all.

Communications ministry is an afterthought -- or a piece of candy handed out to the last person available to pick from the motley lot that no one else wanted.

Bam! Nomvula cracks the nod.

Why Nomvula? Seriously, she's pretty much been a failure at most other things she meddled in :wtf:

I suppose it goes to her because she is a loud mouth -- or the last minister reminded Cyril too much of Jacob. That said, if by some small miracle she happens to achieve something and does not cock too much up, then perhaps she'll be lauded for her marvelous deeds. Expect nothing great. Get all rowdy and excited if something nice happens.

Can you list their achievements under each name

Oh no, wait. I see you already did
To be fair none of them really had the chance to follow through on any of their commitments. It's like going to see a different doctor every week. Rather take a look at who did the 10 appointments. The only one who really had the chance was Ivy under Mbeki but unfortunately she also tried to backtrack when Telkom complained.

Bring back Yunus Carrim - the only competent one from the lot.

Yunus Carrim - the only competent one from the lot.

Roy Padayachie [R.I.P.] was also highly competent and had served as deputy Communications minister for many years, he tried his best to sort out that department.

Not a single competent person among these people - no exclusions. Not a single one managed turn around the industry or introduce any improvements. The whole lot of them are useless. There are individuals capable of performing, but unfortunately they are no longer in government, no longer involved with government and skin colour not quite right to fit the AA and BEE laws. No wonder they are sifting through their own members trying one after the other hoping and praying for a miracle - one that will never realize in any event.

And yet we are still expected to give them the benefit of the doubt.

And yet we are still expected to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Can't happen. We are past that. As long as the organization is running the country we are f**ed. We are sliding, slowly downhill. Nothing will fix this.

Are we about to hit 11 in 11 years: https://mybroadband.co.za/news/gove...ter-implicated-in-serious-irregularities.html

Communications Minister Nomvula Mokonyane was implicated in serious irregularities by Treasury officials and Auditor-General Kimi Makwetu while she was Minister of Water and Sanitation.

According to information shared with Parliament, the Department of Water and Sanitation went on a tender deviation spree and wasted billions in project management and professional fees.
