I don't want to be on this forum any more. All this news just pisses me off how ****ed we are and the state of things in this country
Those vetting forms are very invasive. Vetting should be done, when they are employed, not long after.
But they should also reassess some of the stuff asked when vetting.
should be done every 24 months... - invasive, as it should be ...if you have nothing to hide, why the concern?
I'll see if I still have a copy somewhere. If you've ever done one you might understand. I wasn't comfortable giving those details to an employer. And I have no business dealings to hide, at all.
Have not done one personally, but a couple of peeps have to do theirs every 24 month, or their security clearance gets revoked. I am their "reference" and get a visit from SSA to verify their information . The questions range from finance to their sexuality ... preferred self medication substance ... , known properties, bad personality traits...listed self identified vices, - that could possibly open them to black mailing. Invasive indeed , but if there is nothing to hide, why would you, referencing said Eskom managers here, not just get it over and done with. With all the kak that goes on at Eskom...I would say, they do have something to hide.
Yea, I hear you ... just want to get to the point that Eskom only gets mentioned in boring articles ...You're probably right about the Eskom people having stuff to hide, I'll admit that.
I don't believe they need the kind of detail they want to ensure a person isn't stealing.
I've done these before. Yes, they are extensive. But looking at the bigger picture, we do have bigger problems. It's not like some nasty people would want to get an in at Eskom, right? You're probably right about the Eskom people having stuff to hide, I'll admit that.

So someone is finally looking to try and fix things at ESKOM and 90% of the people there say no they are unwilling to comply?! Perhaps the problem is THEM. Fire their asses and hire someone who will do the job properly. Pity it took them this long to figure it out.
But this is South Africa, so nothing will happen, no one will be fired, things will carry on as usual and ESKOM will be run even further into the ground. Happy days. Will be happy to be proven wrong though.
It's not 90% of the people in Eskom.
I'm curious to see this.I'll see if I still have a copy somewhere.

He meant it should be part of the appointment process, obviously. They are employed, hence the vetting. obviously vetting them when they are no longer employed is pointless.
Ty. The point? Dunno - common sense has become rare. The church of logic is banned, we rather listen to doctor Rasheen who promises us all types of things - for a fee, then denounce him when he screws us ... I've given up. I can only humour stupidity, no use arguing. If you don't want to be vetted then gtfo. What's next, no work but still get salary?
@Sollie Your new avatar is kek annoying, I hate it and love it at the same time![]()
You forgot Cyril RamaphoepolThey don't want to be vetted because their names are the following:
JB Zuma
J Zuma
Jake Zuma
Jack Zuma
All collecting nice fat salaries.
