So why does the loadshedding start at 1pm sharp every day now? Doesn't make sense to me...

The question should be how many units they have online as it looks like they have more offline than online

Geyser and stove alone will take 6 - 8kwh. Hint, get a gas stove and solar geyser
Yip, if you take the geyser and oven out of the equation you can get by with as little as 1-2KWh if you use energy efficient lights and fridges, etc.

So, what we have atm? 45k MW installed capacity?... whats demand at recently? 22-23k? and need to cut 4k of it... so, easily 50%+ of capacity offline... good job, performance bonuses all round:thumbsup:
no way to actually know if those figures are even right, I mean how does one know what is accurate, and what isn't.
its all a joke really, they themselves just thumbsucked a number and called that installed MW, and just thumbsuck a number and call that demand MW,

"We want our new Range Rovers or you will have no power!"

How a country is held hostage but its monopoly power utility.
we want the sport package, as well as the tech package with the heated leather seats,
and dont forget the blue lights for when we want to go buy milk at the spaza shop, we have to arrive with style!!!!

That's actually an interesting question, but Eskom will probably quote "business confidentiality" (not that they have much competition). Its like the old days where we weren't informed of traffic accidents blocking the road (we didn't need to know)!?
