FFS. If I can believe the Eskom schedules for my area, which I cannot, we have from 6H00-8H30 and 22H00-0H30

So the BS yesterday about fixing all those plants that tripped was a distraction!?
We're dealing with more than trips here. When plant trips it is because of a temporary fault or instability or minor failure. This looks like long term breakdown they know was coming and had patched up to keep going for a while.

So what happens to the planned shutdowns of units for maintenance? Surely they can't afford to lose them so probably postpone and then the risk of losing units increases.

This is not the 1st time when a change to Eskom is suggested and president leaves country, Eskom suddenly kneejerks with excuses of maintanance, everything ok..... then suddenly a lots of powerstations at fault -?
It seems the floor is running Eskom at times, like a passenger grabs your steering wheel.
Eskom needs management with technical knowledge urgently to see through the mud on the ground.
