South African teen wins bronze at mental maths world championship

Stiaan Scheepers — a 13-year-old student of the South African A+Students education franchise — won the bronze medal at the 2022 Junior Mental Calculation World Championships in Germany.

The competition attracts over 50 competitors up to the age of 19 from around the globe and consists of a two-hour exam designed to challenge their mental arithmetic.

Cool. Is he one of those autistic okes that can only do one thing really well or is he legit "wicked smaht bruv"?

Wow that's cool. Interesting take on a math competition with no writing anything down except for the answers. I'm quite a scribbler myself, so I would struggle with this one!

Wow, if I attended I would be 51st best at mental maths in the world.

He got given the best friend award only because he was the other competitors only friend. His trophy means nothing.
