There's a few websites out there that randomize colors quickly on your screen. Let it run for about 10 minutes. It might fix the issue and it's worth a try. Let me know if you can't find a suitable link.

It works with 'stuck' pixels - which are different to dead/hot ones.

Stuck - one of a pixels red/blue/green sub-pixels always receives power and is considered 'stuck'. Rubbing the pixel or running those programs can fix these, or they just fix themselves over time.
Dead - pixel is permanently damaged and does not receive any power, results in a dot on the screen slightly darker than its surrounding pixels.
Hot/Bright - a pixels red/blue/green sub-pixels are always on resulting in a bright white dot.
