Same. Its still not working almost a month now. Why don't they fix it?

maybe it's like a test. If u can't access your balance, u don't know how much u have so u just keep calling and making chargeable calls? :p

seriously though, this is pathetic. Being way too long since this issue has surfaced and nothing's been done about it.

Might as well move on now because its never going to be fixed!

MTN have their lips zipped on practically everything:
  • This problem.
  • New pricing [which may or may not be in pipeline]
  • Any issue that you complain about, get a reference number for, and they "will investigate"

The *162*pin# thingy still gives "system failure", but at least I can call 16202 and get my bundle info that way. It seems up to date as my billing date is the 20th and this morning I was allocated new bundles.

Yes 16202 is updating each day but that is not the issue. its *162*pin# service that has not been working for a month or more (can't even remember now) that has not been fixed despite many many calls to the useless call centre from many many mtn subscribers.

The fact that the USSD command is not working means that you have to put your sim card in a phone to check your balance. MTN seems to be very slack there days.
