2 Wireless Routers and Net Access

Hey Guys

I don't know much about Wireless, so apologies if this seems trivial.

I recently moved to a new place. A friend of mine stays in the place next door, so I was wondering if its possible to connect our 2 Wireless Routers, while each of us still uses our own Net connection. He is on ADSL and I am on iBurst, both of which are controlled by our routers.

How far are you apart?
Have you tried to see if you can get a signal?
You might probably need some external antennas if the range is too far
