20 x 12v 7ah batteries. Want to build a UPS.

I lucked out and got 20 x 12v 7ah batteries from a work UPS. so Im sitting with a 140ah battery that I would like to hook up to my PC and router.

What would be the best way to hook these batteries up and automatically power my PC and router during a load shed? I've heard that guys are modding the RCT ups' to do this. Safe way to go?

I think the best advice would be take them to a scrapyard, get some money from them, and buy a larger capacity battery.
Then look at the threads which talk about modding the RCT / Mustek / Chinese 2kVA UPS with larger capacity batteries.
