Yeee, but appeeerently not blllluddy good enough at this level of the gaaim.

Sorry, that's my attempt at writing in a channel 9 Auz accent. :D

Our one day and 20/20 squad looks a little thin, there some glaring omissions from the squad IMO, Loots Bosman, Roelof Van Der Merwe, Jean Symes for example... Not sure why Vaugh got the nod ahead of Loots...

I would have picked Loots for the 20/20 games, but it's very hard to justify flying a guy out to play in just 2 games and sending him home again.

Van Jaarsveld is a better batsmen IMO, he has the complete range of shots. Loots on the other hand has only two zones he hits in, extra cover (usually over it) and square on the on side. Sooner rather than later international bowlers will figure that out quickly. Like we did to Warner.

Surely they would retain Loots for the one day series too? Is Van Jaarsveld not staying on for the ODI's? He may have the complete range of shots but if he's not hitting the ball it makes no difference...:)

This got a mention on the SABC3 news at 7pm today.

Saw it is also in beeld today.

Read that Kricket Aus said they were sorry :)

Hats off to mickey mouse for saying that it would not have changed the game even if the catch was taken.

Well the Ausie board said that they will be contacting the police today and they will enforce the full punishment onthe person when found.

Just nice to see it not turning into a media bitch fight, well done Aus Crick and KSA.

I disliked Arthur playing it down. Also totally disliked his comments that our fans are no angels. I have never heard of anything like lasers being pointed at touring sides at the cricket here in SA or chickens being thrown at fielders from our spectators. There's no need to be nice to the aussies.

Lol,, I like that he is not sinking to a level of self pity and scapegoating.

He clearly wants to show that we can be the best where it matters...... ON THE FIELD.... He is trying to show the Aussies that we can beat them without stupid mind games etc etc.

I like it, but each to his/her own.

Well, as Ozzie pointed out in another thread, we did have a fan running on and tackling the ref (for sure in a different sport).

Every country has its share of drunken arsehole supporters. Parnell said it didn't affect him, and really, does anyone honestly think he was going to make that catch?

Let's not make more of it than it needs. The Aussises have apologised, and will try to track the guy down - let's just get on with the ODIs.

The Aussies are actually ahead of the eight-ball when it comes to clamping down anti-social behaviour such as these.

In most states, knives above a certain dimension cannot be purchased by a minor. Cans of spraypaint are displayed in locked glass cabinets (if at all) and cannot be purchased by minors (they are used for grafitti).
Laser pointers (above a certain strength) are banned in NSW (at least) for casual purchase, and use of any laser pointer in a harmful way is illegal.

Guys, this country has laws on anything and everything...I'm scared of farting in public. This place is the epitome of 'big brother'.

Unfortunately, one cannot outlaw stupidity.

They apologised for the racial abuse our boys suffered last tour as well but didn't stop it.;)

My complaint is not about the light affecting parnel or not. I am unhappy that our coach is being too nice to the aussies. I don't like him trying to defend them by saying it happens in other countries as well.

I can guarantee you 100% if this had happened to some other teams they wouldn't not be treating the aussies with a soft approach.

Botha you absolute tosser! Why bring yourself on and then set a defensive field with a single available wherever the batsman chooses to play? And we're only 16 overs in

Might as well just hand over 6 runs an over from here - twit!!!

It's a random spectator - not a member of the Aus team. What can the Aussies do apart from apologising for their spectators and promising to do all they can to stamp it out?

Move on, concentrate on the cricket.

(BTW: What are the odds that some fool will take it upon himself to do a reprisal when Aus visit us? What would the correct response be then?)

Ponting gone!

Botha to Ponting, OUT, stumped! No caught! Ponting pushed forward to a defend a straight delivery but edged it, Boucher didn't realise at first for he whipped off the bails but eventually appealed for caught behind, Ian Gould raised the finger immediately
RT Ponting c wicketkeeper Boucher b Botha 46 (54b 5x4 0x6) SR: 85.18

If you're happy and you know it clap your hands!

In-stadium entertainment reaches a new low.

(Overtaking NZ who played Fake Plastic Trees to hype up the crowd in the recent series against WI.)
