following it on cricinfo and have to say the images in my mind are exquisite. i'll have to watch the highlights this evening.

altho cricinfo seems to be trying to erase the last couple of overs

He was due for a while now. Keeps on getting a start and then goes out. I think this pitch suits him though. Go Gibbs :)

18.6 Johnson to Gibbs, OUT, finally Ponting holds one, its just catching practice from Gibbs, not moving as he reaches out and plays it off the face of the bat smack to first slip, who cups it in front of his face
HH Gibbs c MEK Hussey b Johnson 64 (52b 10x4 1x6) SR: 123.07

Argh, the curse :(

commentators are mentioning the strike rates of Kallis and Duminy. They say Ponting questioned Duminy's SR and said it was on the slow side.... oooooh mind games :D

Strike rate of 76.8 is slow? It's perfect for the type of role he plays in the middle order, and he can step it up if he needs to. The Aussies can suck on it, they're just jealous :D

edit: just cursed it, he's out now :(

South Africa require another 105 runs with 5 wickets and 21.0 overs remaining

with a bit of luck we can still pull this off
