Ai, gotta feel sorry for Parnell.

And the aussies picked on Duminy a bit towards the end, hey?

A win would have been very nice...

This is not one day cricket. Everybody knows 20/20 is just for fun and doesn't even count.

The only real cricket is Test cricket and we won that.

Well said bru:D. 20/20 is the side show to the main event:p.

Great performance by Duminy:).

I'm just happy that Steyn made that Warner dude eat dirt today:D. He must have thought he is Warne ver.2.0 after the first 20/20:p.

Smithy where are you?:(

Have to agree with Chissieboi here, one day is more like the sit-in-the-pub-playing-coinage-after-the-real-match type of thing. And 20/20 is well kinda like that kiss you get from a chick just before you pass out, lots of fun but utterly meaningless :p :D

Is it just me or does Botha seem like a really poor captain? No presence, no animation, poor decisions (saving Steyn for too late), taking too long in setting fields after each ball therefore giving the batsmen time to settle. I can understand wanting saving Steyn for the last two overs, but there's no point when they need less than 6 an over.

So I presume than it would be fine with you if we lose all the 20/20 games at the upcoming world cup in england later this year? ;)

20/20 is a different format of the game but is still important.

You misunderstand my position, stefan9.

When we win 20/20 games, then 20/20 is a vital, exciting part of the game, an indication of up-and-comnig talent. When we lose 20/20 games, then it is not really cricket, flash-in-a-pan made-for-TV cricket lite.

;)

lol Chiskop, with the abundance of passion going on in a sports forum, you may well find yourself doused in petrol and set alight with those chirps! :D :p

Was quite a nailbiter yesterday...up 'til they needed less than a run a ball obviously. Couldn't understand why we batted so slowly though. Then it struck me that with such short boundaries and the fact that they only passed our run rate in the last 9/10ths of their innings that maybe there was something up with that pitch when the Auzzies didn't exactly come out and blow us away in 5 minutes. Maybe other unseen factors, not sure. Still a little puzzling.

I actually thought Botha did some good work there yesterday. Very interesting opening the bowling with a spinner an' all. His bowling really tied them up. The new guys were a bit expensive but I guess that's to be expected.

Favourite moment was Steyn shattering the furniture from under Warner. A minute of silence from channel 9! :D

Our one day and 20/20 squad looks a little thin, there some glaring omissions from the squad IMO, Loots Bosman, Roelof Van Der Merwe, Jean Symes for example... Not sure why Vaugh got the nod ahead of Loots...

Seriously though, I do think that 20/20 is about momentum. I think that the Aussies got themselves into a position where they had that momentum, and were able to take the game. If we'd managed to hold one of those two catches, we'd have had at least one new batsman at the crease and then it may well have been an entirely different story.

Agreed. Or what Neal "Hit 'em out the park" McKenzie was doing in there. At seven.

Bosman has gotten his chances in the past and didn't use them. But why Van der merwe wasn't picked when smith got hurt I have no idea.

Read about it earlier, but tbh I couldn't see anything from that tiny video. You should maybe have warned us that there was some Hayden content ni that video. That man gets uglier every time I see him.

Lol its part of the clip...

theres a laser beam on the ground just before he drops the catch...
