I'm trying to convince my wife to sell her CR-V as she doesn't really give a **** about cars and it's quite expensive. Found a 2008 IS250 with 95 000km on the clock for R139k. As far as I know Lexus are generally very reliable, but are there any quirks on the IS250, especially coming up to 100 000km? How high are servicing costs?

Extremely expensive to service when you are out of service plan.

Any idea how much a service is? Coz a the R100k saving my wife would make on the cost of the car is a lot of money.

Check for carbon buildup. Otherwise solid cars, albeit seriously underpowered.

Whoa. That cheap? Pity the car was sold by this morning, will have to keep looking.

From what I've hear the prices are not bad, not much different from servicing a corolla. These cars are good second hand buys, dunno why they are not more sought after.
