Good day all

My car is due for its 150 000KMs service and I want to change the following items:
Fuel filter (I hear its inside the fuel tank)
Gearbox oil
Brake fluid
and all the normal service items like spark plugs etc...

Has anyone change these items before? Because Audi says the gearbox oil and fuel filter are designed to last a lifetime.

Your advise would be much appreciated.

Intank fuel filter may or may not need to be changed. As for the Car, 1.8T, change the oil often.

Brake fluid, gear oil can be done at a place specializing in this. Should be a quick fluid change.

whilst there, do all the fluids change. Its for piece of mind.

Yes plenty of people will have changed those parts before. What is a lifetime to Audi is probably more or less the mileage you've done, it will be well worth it to do as preventive maintenance. Audi before said their auto gearbox oil was lifetime as well, the original manufacturer then stated that Audi was wrong and it needed to be done at around 160k km so dont listen to Audi if they say something like that is meant to las a lifetime.

Exactly! I prefer to be proactive instead of being reactive... Thanks man

My thoughts exactly. Oil needs to be changed and I do not want to be in a position where I have to replace the whole gearbox
