Why? SA dont have the bowlers... not his fault.
It's his job to crap on the bowlers when they're bowling crap and predictable lines and lengths. They need to actually practice consistently good bowling.

He also needs analyse the players performances and consult with the bowling and batting coaches to make sure that the players are performing at optimum performance.

edit: another 1 down :) I'm not getting excited just yet because we still have to bat and we've had a knack of collapsing this series.

Prince has really gone out to make a point of retaining his spot in the team.

Prince looks like a new batter and not a blocker :p, maybe someone mentioned he should try the run rate a bit as opener as he was used to blocking for his life before :p, him and kallis the 2 best blockers and leavers in the game :p

Your hopes for the day seemed optimistic this morning, but it all seemed to work out in dominic junior's favour. :)

I dont want to sound like a d00s here, but surely you can't think that Arthur sits around and scratches his a$$ the whole day??

He does what you are suggesting plus a million other things. I can promise you that he knows more about cricket and cricket analysis and why we lost than any of us will ever know. fact.

Just like Arthur probably knows jack about your job, so most of us know jack about his job.

Was a great day of test cricket. Thought we started a bit sloppy, and should rather just forget about the bloody referrals, because obviously skipped class for 'Referrals 101'.

But we managed to keep the scoring down, and kept the pressure up after each wicket.

We are basically starting tomorrow with a deficit of 150 odd, 10 wickets in hand and slightly old ball. Not bad for the side that lost the toss.

I wont put too much in Prince and Khan's performance at the end of the day. They had some luck, and I don't think Aussies was really up for that session. The real test of skill will be tomorrow morning when the Aussies will be fired up.

Ok so we go into day 2 with a deficit of +-150 runs. Ashwell looks in, what must be described as, the greatest form ever. Khan looks good, good footwork, but looks a bit suspect against the spinners.

I think this 1st session will be crucial. Khan started looking very hesitant towards the end of the day yesterday and I think Ashwell will have to help him through that this morning.
