Great game. Atmosphere was great.

roeloff might not look great but at least he smacks the ball unlike van jaarsveld he looks like he might have a mental breakdown each time he steps into the international arena.

Can i ask why 153 was a sub par total?

the average on the ground is 140 so why is 153 considered low? Is it because our league is considered less quality or what because thats rubbish. The only reason we had such a good total to defend was because of the an innings that was just crazy. Not many people were smashing the ball for boundaries with ease and i thought 153 was a tough tough total to chase.

Because we had 50 dot balls. If you just get singles of half of those dot balls you get to 175. We got lucky that the aussie batsmen are poor at 20//20 had we faced the indian 20/20 side I have a feeling we would lost if we only got 156.

50 dot balls is not great i agree but bowlers these days are mixing it up alot and i think you will alot of more dots balls in pro as bowlers get to know and understand it really well.

20/20 is a boundary game so if your getting 4 dots ball with 2 4's or a 4 and a 6 then whats the problem?

Your point being?? With the exception of D.Hussey,Warner and ponting the rest of their batsmen aren't very good at 20/20.

It was more tait and Bracken who beat us over there.

We will see how they go in June in england but I don't think the aussie 20/20 side will do very well. Unless Watson recovers and Symonds comes out of his mental hiatus.

It matters because its the difference between a very good score and an average one.

The IPL will really tell us whether all bowlers are getting more skilled or whether both bowling sides just had a great game yesterday.

Surely an average score of 140 and we score 153 is a great score?

I dunno i do not think that wicket was as easy to bat on as the wanderers.

So you mean our team is even worse than theirs, if they managed to beat us?:D

The Aussie commentator's (Greg Blewitt) exact words were that "Australia are red - hot favourites" after we posted 156. The only thing red - hot after the match, must have been his face:p.

His name is Roelof;).

Not sure about the squad yet, but looks like Kallis is out with a groin injury.

They interviewed him on the news last night, asked him how he feels having made the national ODI squad...

I have a problem with that... one innings wild and erratic and clumsy has made him a star and straight to the national squad... No wonder the Proteas are where they are...
Any monkey can swing a bat right?

Jk8 i did not see anyone else hitting like he did, he also bowled really well.

In pro 20 you need a player who defies logic :p. He is not a monkey either he has a good record batting and bowling, so i suggest you give him a chance before branding someone a monkey for no good reason. Sounds like your pissed amla's been left out.

Yes look where it has left us, beating the Aussies 4-1

Ps its not to say Bulldog will get a chance to play, but taking him with and helping him get use to the team setup poses no harm.

Also with the Pro20 WC coming up soon and us not playing any more Pro20s we will 10-1 include some Pro20 players into the ODI team if we have won the 5 match series by the 4th or 3rd game.

Hes seemed like a cool guy, he even admitted that his batting needs work and his a bowler by trade.
I guess SA fans love these one hit wonders, makes them an overnight star.
Proteas are still looking for a Klusener replacement.
This guy reminds me of a blind Afridi!:p

No, we are not looking for a klusner replacement, we have A Morkel :p

Also like I said the focus atm is on the pro20 world cup in +-4 months time, there you need hard hitters and people who know how to fight for a victory.

Also he 10-1 won't get a hance to play barring if we are 4-0 up, so unknot your pink panty mate ;)
