Yet another loss at Kingsmead, why they keep scheduling matches there is beyond me. Defeats the purpose of home advantage :(

Not really but it does heavily favour the toss, it does not help though when we have a captain who has no clue and bowlers who cannot keep on line.

This had nothing to do with kingsmead, we bowled poorly, could not figure out what field settings we wanted, had batsmen walking for nothing, had a bad decision. i mean at times smith and gibbs acted like we needed 20 runs an over.

One of those days you just write off.

That's the thing, too much depends on the toss. You can't have a fair contest that way. If Kingsmead is to host matches, they should be day games.

Sure we batted like crap and gave our wickets away, but that's not the only problem. Guess it should be written off and hope for a 438 match at the Wanderers :)

Okay, I just woke up from a short nap. I saw Alma walk, but WTF happened after that?

That was just poor cricket on South Africa's part, I never really see Australia do anything spectacular. Johan Botha plays like a different person when he is captain... Maybe he should be captain... Overall Poor effort from the boys

Whats wrong with botha ? he bowled 10-38 which was awesome but as he would keep the runs down albie would go for 11, we only had one decent bowler today and that was botha, i really do not think duminy should bowl to often, he is shocking. We never build pressure in their innings, had them on the rack but they kept getting 4-8 an over because we allowed easy singles, 112 singles is just crazy. You could see smith was under pressure as captain as he got nothing correct.

sad thing is you could see smith loooked out of his depth as captain yesterday and i think they should drop him as captain and reinstall botha and keep smithers as the opener. Also why did they not open with herchelle? Bring on albie opening already dammit :p

Agreed with just about everything that killa said, which worries me. :D

Botha as captain is inspired and innovative, and always looks like he knows what he's going to do next to put the other team on the back foot. I don't think that Smith was able to impose himself as captain on that game.

But, back in reality-land, I don't think Smith is about to give up the captaincy unless another one of his hands gets broken.

Aus seem to psych out SA again!
Its a poor team imo, why didnt Prince play if Kallis was injured?
We dnt need both Morkels in the team.
Duminy n Amla are playing poorly, why Amla walked is beyond me!
Sa gave away cheap wickets!
But it comes down to captaincy, Smithers allowed 90 runs in the last 10 overs! How can u take a power play at the 45 over against Aus batting line up?
Botha for captain!!!

Chiskop what happens to integrity when your given out when your clearly not? who stop fixes that? o wait nobody you sit back in the dug out WITH A BIG OUT SIGN ON YOUR BACK :p, who fixed AB's decision were is integrity with that and so many poor decisions before that? Did you see gibbs walking when he knicked it? no because gibbs has been given out plenty when he was clearly no out.

You do not walk unless given out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

giving away 90 runs when aus take a power play is not bad, what is bad is giving away 112 singles and allowing aus when they lost wickets to milk your bowlers for 6 singles an over.

Smith showed yesterday how poor a captain he is, he had no clue about field settings and why were some fielders so deep the aussies could just milk singles the whole game which took pressure off them. when ponting takes a wicket he sets a heavy attacking field for the new batsmen, we allow them to milk singles.

Clearly you don't understand integrity. It's not about what other people do (ie when umpires give you out when you're not out) - it's about how you conduct yourself.

Yeah, it's not fair, but life isn't fair either.

My respect for Amla, which was pretty high to begin with, just increased a whole lot more.
