In AUS we won from these situations, and that's what made the series victory so much better. what sport is about.

A colleague and I were commenting on the very same thing at work this afternoon:).

JP has been "the man" in those turnarounds too:D.

I do not believe it is because we lack death bowlers, getting out the tail in 5 days is not as easy as one day cricket, they are looking to score many runs and are super defensive.

Besides anyone who though north and johnson where the tail do not watch cricket :), wickets fell soon after they got out.

we need a legg spinner, we need a bowler who can actually bowl a yoker and Morne Morkel needs some more experience, but lets be honest though no one expected Marcus North to do so well on his debut, sucks for the many ausies in the same boat as he, who never got to play for a team for a long time , Hussy, Mcgill, Shane Watson , the list goes on , those names will walk in to any world team, and get a guaranteed spot.

The irony is that the groundsman prepared a sporting wicket (which should provide a result...if the weather doesn't have a say) that one would assume on paper would favour SA...but the Aus batsmen and bowlers took to it like it was prepared for them :(.

Once again I was at the game, the atmosphere was amazing, you hardly ever see a packed bullring for test matches...but it was so funny how people in the crowd were praying for rain. Thats how shocking the performance was.

Must say I was impressed with JP walking, even the Aussies weren't sure he had hit it.

I was not impressed with him walking, he may not have given out had he not walked.

You do not walk unless told to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways i cannot for the life of me see how we will save this one and if we do ponting has only himself to blame, he should have put us back in to bat again.

Yesterday was devastatingly horrible, while today quite the opposite:). We'll have to set a new world record to win this one, but records are meant to be broken at some point:D.

Smith was a bit unlucky today, but hopefully our other guys can pull it off.

+1. Going straight to the game today. Was so depressed by Saturday's goings-on I decided to skip yesterday *doh!*

Kallis looks in top nick, as does Amla. Come one boys! My only worry is the pitch, that one ball that Kallis bowled North with worried me a bit, the pitch seems to have variable bounce. One plus is there aren't any heavy clouds in the sky today, so it should lessen swing for the Aussies...plus the Aussies seem to only have 3 proper bowlers...and seem to place all their hopes on Johnson.

p.s. Am I the only one who thinks Johnson's action looks a bit suspect?

clearly not :p http://bleacherreport.com/articles/118502-tait-johnson-malinga-and-the-slinging-arm-bowling-action

But I am sure if there was anything technically wrong they wouldbe called on it.
