Well he did illegally pass him according to the rules. I do feel for the guy but rules are rules.

I agree that Trulli had a good race too. But he doesn't drive like that every race or he would be on the podium regularly. Hamilton generallly does well consistently. That is what seperates great drivers from good drivers IMO. Consistency!

Serget you realize hamilton had a much faster car than trulli since he arrived in f1 and being on the podium is pretty much expected in one of the best cars, how do you expect trulli in his slower car to get onto podiums?

I dunno did hamilton not break the rules by going past him? you cannot over-take under the SC so hmmm now how does hamilton over-take him, regardless of what happened the place should have given back and it was. What rules did he break? Actually considering the car trulli had last season he put in some amazing performances but they go unnoticed just like his drive this weekend which was better than hamilton's.

Yes and look trulli out performed hamilton having started behind him, just goes to show what sandman and airwolf say, its all about the car.

See when hamilton is not in the best he is a regular trulli type driver :).

well if Trulli was that good why didnt he consistenly make the podium when he was driving the best car in F1 ,the renault that made alonso champion ,as they were clearly in the same car ,but i dont quite remember trulli challenging for race wins consistenly

I am not disputing anything here about trulli i asked and you can see in my quote how trulli was suppose to be as good as hamilton in a car 1 second slower?

answer me that, another thing if trulli is so poor how did he out perform the amazing hamilton? I mean hamilton's drive was so amazing and all then trulli's drive must have been off the chart amazing.

Mindful of how much Alonso had outperformed him in 2003, Trulli improved markedly the next year. For the first half of the season he was the better of the two Renault drivers, racking up regular points and podiums. At Monaco he finally took his first victory after a brilliant display from pole position. Having performed so well, the Italian was eager to stick with the team for 2005, but his relationship with team-boss Briatore soured. A last corner error which allowed Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello onto the podium in France enraged the team, and from that point his days with the French manufacturer were numbered. For the second half of 2004, Trulli failed to gain any points and was consistently off the pace during races. He later accused the team of favouring Alonso, but the reasons why his 2004 season deteriorated have never been properly identified. He was sacked three races before the end of the season and replaced by 1997 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve. Trulli had already agreed to drive for Toyota in 2005, and his early exit from Renault allowed him to take up his new seat for the last two races of the 2004 season, replacing Ricardo Zonta.

A little food for thought. guess he can out perform alonso in the same car he must suck badly, luckily wiki is around because my memory is shocking.

Yes but the fact remains trulli did out perform alonso for the first half of a season so he cannot infact be a total idiot in a f1 car.

Anyways he showed lewis hamilton how to get a podium from stone last :), even if it gets taken away from him he still out performed hamilton :) and for me was the driver of the day, even though he was lucky so many in front crashed and retired.

Lets wait for the end of the season and then see who is "lucky" for not getting involved in crashes, overtaking under a yellow flag etc. I thought that the second yellow flag should have been a red one ie ending the race. It was pointless watching them all parade around for the last few laps.

P.S. I am certainly no Ferrari fan, so it was so cool to see them end with no points. This even when they had "F1 God" on the pit wall telling them how to/not to do it.

Firstly...you are not 'lucky' when others crash...thats part of motor racing...keep your car on the road.

Yes Trulli rode from last to 4th...so what. He has to perform consistently now and we will see.

Under SC you are allowed to pass cars which crash...otherwise many would have been waiting for Vettel whne he finally succumbed on three wheels.
Trulli made a driving error and Hamilton passed him whilst giving him every opportunity (as slow as possible). McClaren weren't sure and wanted to play it safe and asked hamilton to let him through again...apparently Hamilton's pass was legal due to Trulli's driving error.
At the very most Trulli should be put back to 4th based on the confusion (i.e. no penalty seconds).

Hamilton is a great driver for many reasons other than fast car. They don't just give the fastest car to the most ordinary driver.
There are things such as tecnical aptitude, understanding of car behaviour etc that gets fed back to the technicians, mechanics etc to tweak the car.
This is what makes Webber bad (despite good driving) and gives his car a bad failure rate and makes Schumi good.
Hamilton then also is amongst the best overtakers and drives with good feel, late braking etc...stuff that made other 'lucky' guys such as Schumi and Senna good.

It is the whole package.

Are you also a hater of Tiger Woods for being good and exploiting the nature of courses to his strengths...remember they were quick to change the fairways after his first Major by 21 shots.
And what about Shane Warne? You get my drift.

I'm sorry , but your going on and on is over the top... you've made your opinion about Hamilton, lets move on.

cheers
