Man I'd love one of those as would the missus actually! Pity that they'll probably be a bit costly.
Then again, money shouldn't really be an issue if you want toys like those.

Yeah that thing must have one hell of a price tag. Can't wait to see what the 2010 model will look like.

Eish. I had my bike on my mind when I wrote the thread title. It's actually a 600.

Edit: I forgot how to change thread title?

Would be pretty cheap.

SA doesn't import 400cc's. You can import them as Greys from Japan at a fraction of the local cost. As an Example, I went to have a look at the 2009 CBR1000's the other day. The 600 in that Electric Blue = R 110 000  The CBR 1000 which doesn't come in that color = R 125 000

Heavy; love the blue color scheme but I'd rather add 15k and get the 1000.

Pitbull, I know that SA doesn't do imports, but do you know what the reason is?

From a Honda perspective, it will then sell the smaller 400 cc's instead of the 600's which has a bigger mark-up. In Japan the 400's can have a slightly bigger Mark-up due to the cheap costs of it being manufactured there. If you add all the fees and Tax on those little machines to get them in SA as new. That would mean they would have to be pretty closely priced to the 600.

Just a guess though.
