Well let's see if they are back, hopefully because brawn seem to have gone back to honda's pace :D or at least they are heading that way. I would be worried if i was button, his car looks like a dog and he not that far ahead in the championship, quite a few more GP's left and that lead would worry me.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vic Maha-blerrie-raj irritates the crap out of me! Why does he have to start every single bloody sentence with whatever words Sasha Martinengo ended his previous one??

Sasha: "Pity for Alonso, had it not been... yada, yada... he would've been right up there."
Vic: "Yes, he would've been up there..."

Every single time he speaks! It's more annoying than Kimi fiddling with his microphone during the interviews.

Oh, and nicely done Hammi - that was a flawless, if not very exciting, drive.

Lol... Yeah not one of them picked up that Massa was hit in the head yesterday during qualifying when they showed the replays.

Nobody picked it up until the super slow mo picked it up. the first onboard replays did not slow down enough to see it.

Nobody knew what happened until that very slow replay showed it. I never knew what happened until that replay either.

If Massa ever makes it back to the cockpit of an F1 car, he can count himself very lucky - actually he can already merely for having survived the accident.

There's a technical analysis on formula1.com - apparently the offending bit of Brawn hardware first hit the top of the nosecone & then ricocheted into the cladding to the side of Massa's head - the high bit of the cockpit. Only after two impacts did it hit him. If that was a direct hit, we would've had another black day in F1...

Well done Hamilton.

Looks like the rest of the field have gained on Brawn. Their championship hopes definitely hangs in the balance with 7 races still to go.

wonder who will drive in Massa's place. Will we see Alonso in a Ferrari before the end of the year? :)

you must see the 2 p00pcakes that host the motogp chat on supersport...

they called the official onair fat , and due to that his shoes had been covered from the rain while he had been classifying the race to be started as dry.

Well....congrats to all the Hamilton supporters! Was nice seeing a bit of red there again, even if it couldn't be Massa!

That said, here's to wishing him a speedy recovery! Need my driver back in the cockpit!

I also can't stand the guy. Acts like he owns F1 in South Africa and his whole "more Italian than Silvio Berlusconi" act is just too much for me

He tries to act like he owns F1 in SA.. then he opens his mouth and BS spews forth... he doesn't know even half of the iconic corners in tracks.. he is worse the Murray Walker when it comes to getting things blatantly wrong, at least Murray Walker has an excuse of being damn old...Sasha is just stupid.

Ouch, Lewis was in another race altogether - partly because of the stuffups of Red Bull and Brawn, although I think he would have won anyway... they will be back though. Perhaps different tracks (slower) may favour them? It was a real surprise to see the Macca so fast on a fast circuit - first time in a while that that's been the case. Lewis handled it well all the way.

I suspect the funds are running dry... not sure if I'm right, but I think Ross should have been nicer to Branson.... he may have had more money for development. The car to date has been dev'd on Honda cash... from here on it's on Brawn cash - wonder if it's drying up? Won't help their cause for next year!

No i don't think the funds have run dry, they updated their car and since then it is a dog.

They have been getting updates without a problem but i think the last update broke something more than made the car go better.

Well macca only looked so good because hamilton was behind the wheel, he is a really good driver without a doubt and has grown on me big time this season with his attitude. I am glad he has driven a dog of a car because it will only make him better. I was wrong and too be honest i miss the crazy hammi :D, has not been the same with him at the back of the field.

I'd like to see more of Hamilton overtaking, if only to watch his girlfriend jiggle around. :D

Renault banned from European GP

Renault have been suspended from the next race in Valencia after their dangerous tyre incident in Sunday's Hungarian GP.

Considering the Massa accident, the race officials were going to be VERY concerned about ANY components that come of cars. And when you consider that this was due to negligence and not mechanical failure, the penalty is stiff but fair IMO.

They are appealing it though.
