You do know by all accounts I have read that the general opinion the FIA is not going to rule that the diffuser is illegal. The other teams are all already working on new diffusers like Brawn, Williams and Toyota have on their cars.

The sad thing is sandman you cannot grasp that button has inferior rides as opposed to kimi and massa.

Massa only has so many point via the last 2 seasons, kimi has driven 5 years for mclaren and 2 for ferrari, sad thing is you cannot grasp the concept of someone driving a better car will get more points so i am done arguing with someone who ignores facts and shows kimi with more points having driven for mclaren and ferrari for the last 7 years considering button's rides having 247 points is remarkable. the facts clearly show above that both massa and kimi have driven good cars, now button is showing what he can do in a good and that is to dominate F1 like only shummi has done :).

End of discussion for me as your totally ignoring the most obvious fact.

The reason the teams took it up on appeal, is that though the designs are technicaly legal, they go against the spirit of reduced downforce that was introduced this season.

And I agree with them.

Oh please the only reason they are against it is because they are getting thrashed and they never thought about it.

answer me honestly here.

If ferrari or Mclaren had been smart enough to get this design, would they have used it? Remember honesty is your best policy.

If Mclaren had come up with it, I would also feel the same way. I support the sport of F1 first then comes Mclaren. ;)

And as much as I love seeing the under-dogs get ahead, not at the expense of the spirit of the regulations.

You didn't answer the question. :)

Sorry, I did not really understand it. I'd like to think they would not have. Even Luco De what ever his name is, said during the pre-season that there were illegal cars. They had more than enough time to copy it before the start of the season.

He won't chis because we all know had ferrari or mclaren figured this out there is no way in hell they would not have used it to dominate the sport. Why is it that williams, toyota and brawn all had the same idea yet mclaren and ferrari let the ball drop. Why is it redbull are not nearly as behind as Ferrari and mclaren?

if you support f1 then you cannot be upset with what is happening as f1 is just amazing at the moment even with brawn dominating :).

How could you not understand that question sox :p

He said brawn had an illegal car 2 weeks before the start :).

And we all know Maclaren would never do anything approaching illegal behaviour to gain a championship point. :D

Button was hailed as the next F1 super driver from England when he started. Over all the drivers are pretty much on par with eachother (and the same applies to Michael Schumaker). Its 90% car and 10% driver.

When Rubens was with Ferrari and Schumi, he was 2nd all the time (was because of the car) when he went to honda he almost never finished a race.

With the new regulations, a couple of the teams have nailed the design better than Ferrari and Mclaren. Lets face it, Mclaren were good again after they had Ferrari designs in their possesion. Coincidence - I dont think so.

Plus the red bull team don't have this diffuser issue, they run what everyone else does. But they kick Ferrari and Mclaren flat! In five races time (about the 7th one) I am sure we will see major changes in the slower cars performances.

In the meantime, what a fantastic refreshing F1 year so far !

From what I have read it will take the teams approximately 4 months to change their diffusers as it effects the whole aerodynamics of the cars from the way the front wing moves the air all the way to the back. It's not as simple as just changing the diffuser.

It is in some cases a matter of redesigning the whole car and redbull said it cannot do it this year, not that they need to, they have the pace to challenge.
