Tonight I had 205mbs available on my cell c sim and I bought R250 airtime which I wanted to convert into 1.2gigs data. I called the call centre and the consultant converted the airtime for me. After the call, I checked my balance and saw that instead of having a 1.4 gig balance (my remaining 205 mbs + 1.2gig) I now only had a balance of 1.2gigs.

I immediately called the call centre back but they were unable to resolve this matter for me and only came up with excuses. They did not even attempt to resolve it.

I want my remaining 205mbs asap, it is unacceptable that data that I paid for can just disappear without a trace.

Please could someone from cell contact me asap, I know that some of their guys check this forum regularly.

There is a CellC rep here. LPR, the CellC CEO also check in here regularly, so you can give him a PM if you have trouble getting this sorted.

Thanks Viva, have pm'd two Cell C reps and both have responded but NOTHING has been done yet.

I will update when this is resolved but I am getting frustrated that it is taking this long (seeing as it took less than a minute for the data to disappear).

And 24 hours later, NO ONE has called me or made any effort to resolve this.

Am I supposed to think that Cell C feel nothing about swiping 200MBS off my balance that I paid for?

This happened on Sunday night and it is now Wednesday morning. Hurry up!

PM LPR. He's your best bet. You've tried other routes, so you have good reason to contact the CEO.

@NeedResolution - have u tried checking your balance on a handset? I think your 200MBs is available but under a different "sub account" in the back end. Basically, if you call 141 and check your balance, it could read out two balances - one would be the 1.2GB and the other would be the 200MB. Also try *101# and see what comes up... If this isn't the case, then I think Cell_C Rep will sort it out for you once you've PM'd him your details...

just to add something - I think they create different accounts for your data bundles as they will all have different expiry dates depending on when they were loaded and their validity period...

Hi Pavan

Thanks for trying to help.

I checked the balance on my sim on my pc as well as on my phone, either way it is clear that the 200MBS is missing and not merely "misplaced."

Pm'd Cell C rep now and am hoping that I can put this all behind me soon enough. The biggest issue I have is the lack of communication.

Do you know what the *only* bad thing is about a Cell C Rep calling me today to apologise for the delay and promising to refund me my missing data right after the call?

Not doing it.

And this was over 3 hours ago

Sort this out Cell C, this is getting ridiculous now!

Just because you have a problem does not give you the right to act like a douche on a forum which is not owned/operated by Cell-C.

Personally, if I was the Cell-c rep I would refund your data the end of next month. And not all of it.
