2014 - November Rugby Internationals

I keep saying the Wallabies are WC contenders but no one is listening! Emotions aside in terms of raw talent no side can match them. All Blacks have proven experience (Mealamu, McCaw, Read, Nonu, Whitelock, Carter etc), England&Boks are a nervous bunch, Ire&Fra exciting and threatening on their day but not enough to string two top wins together. Make no mistake Australia are genuine contenders and those players know they have it within them to win.

still think so after yesterdays game? oh and by the way that's 3 wins for Ireland now

Ireland didn't beat the best Bok team possible, despite winning the Six nations England beat them I think, Australia showed how far ahead Ireland they can be if they put their mind to it (same with ABs to Boks). With all of this in mind I don't think Ireland can string two big wins together to get the win.

There are five teams with enough depth in class - NZ, AUS, ENG, SA, FRA. Ireland have joined that group. At home I think pressure will outweight home advantage so not England, with this team I'm not sure Boks will go past quarters, If France win I'll be shocked, to a less extent Ireland. Can NZ have a perfect tournament, after learning how to win recently (2011)? Maybe, but my money's on Australia.

Italian forwards doing well....some big boys in there

The Italians have historically fielded powerful packs and especially front rowers, but it tends to go pear-shaped for them from number 9.

France and South Africa seem to have the same thing in common; They both play to the level of their opponents, lacking consistency in their performances.

The positives for Meyer were few with too many handling errors, turnovers conceded and lost set-pieces, though he was pleased with the defensive display and the manner in which the Boks dominated the scrums with a second-string front-row.

Excuse me what? This is popping up in a few articles and I find myself wondering exactly what game they were watching where we 'dominated' or 'stood up excellently' in our scrums.

The scrums were decent first half, but got worse later. Felt sorry for Julian Redelinghuys having to scrum with Guthro and Bismark. Guthro is not a strong scrummager and Bismark is always popping out of the scrums.
