2014 - November Rugby Internationals

Being ripped and having strength doesn't give you ball skills and tactical awareness. Have always thought our rugby players look like they spend too much time in the gym compared to guys from New Zealand who look less ripped but outplay the boks year after year.

Lol, you kidding right? Being ripped and having strength is a sign of physical conditioning! You can't exercise tactical awareness if you not conditioned to play for the full 80.

NZ are absolute masters in this regard! In fact the current squad is possibly the greatest 70-80 minute team in the history of the sport.

Yeah, Francois Hougaard's ripped physique really did well for him when he tapped a penalty and kicked it straight out on Saturday. Not saying physical conditioning isn't important but perhaps South African teams focus on it too much to the detriment of skills and tactical awareness.

I did say we produce some of the dumbest rugby players in the world!

I disagree on conditioning. The Boks are not renown for good conditioning. Jake White was forever bemoaning the lack of conditioning and many an EOYT has ended in tears as a result of a spent squad.

Cool we can invite zero class foolish outcast to join us. Hopefully he will then see we're just normal okes

of course we can. he might not leave the same person... but he can come. this classy kempton tappit will draw him a picture...

Love them or hate them the Bulls Super rugby form will dictate our World Cup campaign to a large extent.

Some essential combinations need to fire not only for the BB but SA as well. Hougaard/Pollard, Jan/JJ, Flip, Werner, Pierre, Basson, would be great if they could find form and take it into the World Cup.

For me the weakest link in the BB setup happens to be Frans... Pity... Would love to see Mallett coach them.

Probably the best rugby player the pro game has ever seen. He even has a farmer's tan.

SA's biggest export outside of mineral resources, is our rugby players...

Great news for me ;)

JOSH STRAUSS moved a step closer to becoming a Scotland player in the future by signing a fresh deal with Glasgow Warriors.

The South African-born breakaway forward will stay with the Warriors until mid-2017 at the earliest. The deal can boost his hopes of making a big-stage debut in a dark blue jersey in next year's World Cup as the start of the tournament in England in September coincides with the qualification date for his adopted country on residency grounds.

He's a solid player. Loved him as a Lion, great leader and played with his heart. Thought he deserved a shot in Bok jersey a few seasons back, but oh well. Best of luck with a Scottish call up.

Agreed. I'd love to see him in a Scotland jersey come world cup time.
