So I believe the India plant had/made this vehicle before a few months back. Now Euro plants are making if for Euro consumption in early 2016 & there will be an option of a 1L Turbo motor.

The Euro cars have LED's & far better infotainment system that the local & Indian sourced models.

I would be surprised if it is not sold here seeing how all the "Angry" raised hatches sell rather well.

I'll never understand why people buy these types of hatch backs.

They are exceptionally silly in my opinion.

Exactly. Polo VIVO Cross. WTF.

I'll start the list of the local "cross" models:

- VW Polo Vivo Maxx
- VW Cross Polo
- Renault Sandero Stepway
- Toyota Etios Cross
- GWM C20R

Missing anything?

Off topic: a few yrs ago some Euro markets had this downright ugly CrossGolf; a raised version of the Golf Plus; based on the G5.

A 1.0L turbo charged engine? I wonder if Hyundai developed it in house or outsourced it?

I would prob say developed in house. They were slow to come to the party with turbo motors. Very likely they wanted to develop in house & do full testing.

Looks like it's inhouse, developed by Hyundai in Europe.

At last year's Paris motor show, Hyundai unveiled two new downsized, turbocharged petrol engines - a 1.0-litre and 1.4-litre. The three-cyclinder 1.0-litre unit has a capacity of 998cc and is based on the Korean firm's existing Kappa MPI engine. The engine features direct injection and a small, single-scroll turbocharger and can be tuned to produce up to 118bhp and 127lb ft.

From here:- http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/m...show/hyundai-i20-get-new-10-litre-engine-2016

and
The first engine is a 1.0-liter T-GDI turbocharged three-cylinder petrol which will equip the all-new i20 in 2015, while the second is a 1.4-liter T-GDI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol showcased in the i30 CNG concept car. The study also features Hyundai’s first seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Both engines are part of a new generation of engines from the Kappa family, featuring direct gasoline injection and single-scroll turbochargers. Developed in Hyundai’s European Technical Center in Rüsselsheim, the 1,0-liter T-GDI engine is able to produce up to 120PS (118hp) and 172Nm (127lb-ft)of torque.
