I really hope they are going to be a little bit creative on their other models it would still be nice to have an Opel and Peugeot as two different brands.

Peugeot Rifter 4x4 Concept 'heads for the hills'...

If you’re planning on heading off-road, a little MPV probably isn’t the most obvious choice. But it has been done before (remember the Volkswagen Syncro Bus and the Mitsubishi Delica?). Now Peugeot apparently wants a slice of this admittedly modest pie, revealing its new Rifter 4×4 Concept.

Based on the recently unveiled Rifter, this concept gains a higher ride height, model-specific BF Goodrich off-road tyres and a Dangel-sourced four-wheel-drive system, complete with three modes. The Peugeot Rifter 4×4 Concept draws its urge (with peak torque of 300 N.m) from a 1,5-litre BlueHDi 130 engine, mated with a six-speed manual gearbox.

In addition to this, the off-roader has been kitted out with a portable Overland tent and a 1,35-metre strip of LEDs, with a total output of 300W.

Although it’s billed as a rugged off-roader, the Rifter 4×4 Concept sports a fairly plush interior, complete with black fabric upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. What it does appear to be missing, however, is a set of A-pillar-mounted grab handles for when the going gets, err, rocky.

And the two-wheeler on the back? Well, that’s a new electric mountain bike Peugeot calls the eM02 FS Powertube…

The Peugeot Rifter Adds A Cot And Downsizes The Vanlife - Jalopnik

You can still vanlive it up and sleep comfortably in this tiny, practical MPV

The Peugeot Rifter is the kind of small multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that we seldom see in the States now.

Peugeot Japan partnered with an aftermarket company, RV Land Concept, to make a cool little cot that not only doubles as a shelf, but will also leave the backseat open for passengers to use.

That means you can bring up to five people on an outing and still have a place to crash comfortably.

The cot is called the agré bed kit, and Peugeot says it’s now going to be either an aftermarket or dealer option, so it can be fitted by the carmaker itself.

The agré bed kit will cost ¥250,800 or $2,275, and will take about six weeks to fabricate and fit.

Drivers can match their bed kit to their interior, so all in all, the wait time and price seems reasonable. It can even be used as a table!
