2020 Takealot Vouchers Thread 2.0 (Everyone Welcome)

Now the real question... Will they fix it when they send tomorrow, or will we be voucherless this month.
They sent out last months codes in the FNB email in error.. over the last few months, vouchers are generally released after the FNB big day which is the 15th of each month.

So we can expect a fresh batch from maybe 17th onwards. I recall a similar error a while back and next day fresh vouchers were sent out..

Anyone with an extra voucher thats willing to share ? (for existing accounts)

like everyone else, I get those daily TA emails, but they never include any vouchers :crying:

Thanks for this. I just checked my other account and it is indeed R250 as opposed to the R150 that I got on my main account.

they have locked the redemption limit to your cell number, for a long time now already. that's why i have a dozen sims, so i can redeem as much as i want.

Yes but the "number lock" issue should give you a different error.

First of, if you don't have a verified number you get "you need to verify" yadda yadda.

If the number is already registered to another account you get "number is already registered"... Which forces you to use a new number.

In my case, I'm using numbers which haven't been registered before... So I'm not getting why it says "redemption limit reached". Its an unused account and "new" number.

Before you answer, let me explain why I ask.

I found that a single phone number can be registered to up to 3 accounts.
Now if you did this yourself on all 3 accounts, you would know if one of those 3 accounts have used a voucher or not. But if one of them have, the other 2 can be new or not, they won't be able to use a voucher in the same month. Generally only a problem if you used a number you do not personally own yourself.

Ahhh, that makes a lot of sense. I thought it was one number, one account. Didn't know the limit was 3.

Still, I'd expect it to say "number already registered" on the 4th signup, as it does give this error sometime.

Will just have to try with other numbers.

Does this mean a single number can redeem 3 vouchers each month, or is it that once three accounts have used vouchers with that number, you’ll need a new number for the next month (new round of vouchers)?

No. A single number can redeem a single voucher, even tho the single number can verify 3 accounts. So a single voucher for that number shared by 3 accounts
