Japan fully deserve to top the group. Best team by far

Very disappointed for Germany. Hopefully they'll be back to their usual selves in 2026

So in 1938 Germany goes home in die pool stages. In 1939 they start WW2. They went out in the pool stages 4years ago and again this time. They must be planning ww3. Need to take out a country or 2 else they won't make it to the knockout stage soon

Yeah before 2016 the last time they went out in the group stages was 1938 now it happened twice in a row.. Happy for Japan loving the upset.. Wonder what the odds where for Japan to top the group

Well Done to Japan I actually bought their white kit coz it looked cool and now I get to wear it for Football Friday.

This is why Japan won. The curvature of the ball still touches the line as viewed from directly above. I assume that's the letter of the law.

Same with the goal from Canada, the entire ball needs to cross the line

Belgium was a different team with lukaku, only used him for 30min this wc
Germany were a different team with Havetz, he played 30 min this WC
