Joosub said, adding that they intend to engage with Icasa for “a more reasonable” outcome.
Reasonable - I think he meant profitable outcome

In order to be in the land of "reasonable" Vodacom needs to bring something to the party because frankly our mobile voice costs are far to high. How about agreeing to reduce all published and set tariffs by 10% pa for 3 years if the schedule is shifted over 5 rather than 3 years and includes an extra year when the drop is only to 30c per minute

unless you bring something to bring down call costs there can't be any sympathy for two firms that enjoyed market dominance from the regulatory framework

Vodacom you can still keep your price to consumers @ R1.69 and higher as you currently do! Lets get some competition in and if they can survive on lower tariffs you better reorganize.

Agh Shamepies, are we eating into your Billions of Rands profits? :D

No more billions, only millions profit pj from now on

Good move, now can somebody drop CALL RATES TOO :crying:

Dear Vodacom ,

Would you accept in principle if we had a gentleman's agreement for all operators to Fix the price at R2-75 per minute and R3-60 per minute billed per second ( Does it ring a bell ) and SMS at 85c and data at R2 megabyte for another 10 years.
Interconnection rates will be set at R1-25c per minute.
Is that acceptable to you guys.
Please respond within 2 hours or this offer will be retracted.

Any CEO can run a company when there is no competition and prices are fixed.
PAY up or NO Mobile Communications.

Should you not accept this offer
The following will come into effect immediately :
R0-60 per minute Billed per second
R0-15 SMS anytime
R0-10 Megabyte of Data
Interconnect Rates will be R0-10 per minute.

Hope you respond soon as the latter is unsustainable in a competitive market.

Good move, now can somebody drop CALL RATES TOO :crying:

Please don't sign any contracts yet.

Port your number to prepaid if your contract is expiring and go for all day tariff.
Telkom Mobile has some big surprises in Store for everyone.
You can port to their prepaid offer for now.

Change is coming very soon............2 Months.

All I hear is bleating. Or is it bleeding? Profits that is.
