Doesn't matter; there won't be people entering the business.
Of course, they only need to close if its a brick and mortar store. Online businesses continue as normal.

Its a company where my friend works (Construction sector). The employers said they will not close. No mention of the repercussions if they dont show up for work. Im assuming they will either not pay them or fire them

The country is going into lockdown and people can't even understand how time works and such. Slightly concerning but stay safe out there guys, I heard some hell going down at the local clicks.

what i am trying to understand, our connection to our office ( thanks to vodacom ) is off and on, and from time to time, i need to manually switch connections. For the sake of business continuity , and our "data center" will i be allowed to go to work to do this?

Well, best of luck to them if they fire people for no show.

i would have to respectfully disagree there..

  • Enabling Services
To assist in the Covid19 response, the following services are required to continue operations:

  • All healthcare related services be they public or private.
  • Call centres providing life and health; energy, food and water supply, social, transactional, communications, law and order and international critical business continuity services.
  • Professional and artisan services, to the extent that they are providing support in the Covid19 response, essential and critical business continuity services.

We currently undergoing a SARS Audit, i would deem that critical to the business?

There is no certainty, but I'm now going with Fri..
We've seen copies of 2 political tweets - one claimed it's from start of Thurs., the other claimed start of Fri.
We also heard from @Geoff.D that SABC confirmed it's the latter. Isn't the SABC their spokespersons?...

It's amazing how people don't understand the concept of time. Fank fnuck they don't have run cronjobs.
PS. 00h00 belongs to Thursday. So from Thursday we are in lock down mode.

SABC CONFIRMED WE CAN MOVE AROUND ON THURSDAY. WHEN YOU WAKE UP ON FRIDAY DON'T GO OUT.

Apparently Dischems are packed, my wife went to get her meds and they were packed, the Woolworths had a queue rapping around the center, also the butchery was out of mince :-(
Pretty much, the same centre the queue already started before their opening time and we passed.

99% of people can't get the following answers correct. Can you?

1. Is the glass half empty or half full?

2. What came first, the chicken or the egg?

3. Thursday Midnight. Does it start Thursday 00:01 or Thursday 23:59?

Even better:

99% of people can't get the following answers correct. Can you? (You'll never believe the answer to number 3!)
