I just got word from my manager that we wont be closing. I work on a Desalination Plant (which has been shutdown for the past 1 year 8 months). They claim we are an essential service, which is utter BS. We dont produce water nor supply any water to anyone at the moment.

I have to travel between Durban and Richards Bay weekly. Assuming this is regarded as an essential service and I do have to work. How would my travel be affected? Would I not be able to leave Durban?

Symptoms take 1-2 weeks to show up, so we'll be i the 10s of thousands before we know if the lockdown is having an effect.
