I have a forward that reads "The government has the right to test you for coronavirus, detain you until the tests are completed (which takes up to 7 days due to the sheer volume of tests)..."

Is there any legitimacy to this? Will I be randomly detained while out for a solo jog?

If you are out for a solo job, they put your test at the bottom of the pile, so its at least a 7 day lead time... and they can detain you in your ghei running clothes...

Oom Piet that lives somewhere on a farm in the karoo between pielsonderkop & putsonderwater is fooked then...

I have family in the Karoo, but yah, quite a distance to the closest town of sufficient supply for them. They can be self-efficient for the most part of the lockdown, and I believe the agri-corporations will be supportive.

What makes you think it will be safe for her to see grandpa any time soon? I think it's going to be months before that's safe to do.
I was saying to my fiancee yesterday, even when the lockdown ends, she better be prepared for working from home until August.
